us, European terrorists

Couldn’t help but feel insulted as a first impression.
Why?
 Reason 1 = simply because of the associations immediately made between Middle Eastern nationalities and terrorism generally, and even unintentionally sometimes, to be fair.
Where did I get this from?
From your title: “us, European Terrorists”… You, European non-terrorists.
 Reason 2 = because there is a burden that we should all share, European and non-European.
The existence of such irrational beliefs and uncontrolled ignorance (interacting with political manipulation) leads to such behavioral issues. This is terrorism these days. Simply ignorance controlling REACTIONS !!!
I blame Middle Eastern authorities for not promoting and forcing logical religious education.
However, as much as it is not fair for Europeans to pay for the existence of this issue as hinted in your link “this evil”, it is not our fault either for being born in part of Earth, and we should all bare the burden equally, as long as we play no role in this conflict.
……………..And may things stay the same until BOTH sides of the conflict adjust their beliefs, actions, and reactions so that the rest of us won’t pay for it anymore ………….. especially “you,European Terrorists”

me vs. mindnumbing technology

I would like to be video taped waking up to this ….. ofcourse, if it manages to wake me up !

Teaching English in France: mediocre results at best

Also, give it some credit, in terms of degrees of efficiency. It took you 7 months (if not less) to realize whether you actually like it or not …. instead of a couple of years … you’re more than GOOD Jankowski… :)

“Effective, but in no way efficient” …. very very very true …. especially compared to our “aimed for” efficiency standards … but at least … better than completely losing our way ….

Baby! I can’t stop smiling at the screen and looking stupid infront of everyone in the Library !

Poor Kids. Did they ever have the option to decide whether they would like to learn the language. It’s a must to survive in today’s competing world, But Still. They don’t know that, And will never, until they experience the necessity !!

Also, your kids are far beyond the age where learning how to speak a language is “natural”, “learnt from people around you indirectly”, and “USED TO GET WHAT YOU WANT”.
As a growing baby, communication and thus language is a survival process, a tool to reach goals, an unreplacable necessity.

For your kids however, it’s just a second language, Learnt passively, and by no means a tool of survival at this point.

In my opinion, they are doing great! And i’m sure if they were thrown in some country where no one speaks but english, they would have done much better.

My father! The funniest and most interesting experimental evidence i can offer you.
Thrown in canada with no previous french learning experience … you would love to speak french to him …a mix of french language and arabic style … with a violent threatning content most of the time …reflecting his authoritative personality :) He just learnt it out of necessity ! Your role as a linguistic teacher would be very helpful and effective as YOU EXPECT only after this stage has been experienced.

For now though …. :) Your kids are doing great! And you are doing greater seeing the “anxiety” you are experiencing. Reflects lots of devotion to the job and commitment and loyalty to passing on the ART OF THE LANGUAGE ! (as you see it i’m sure) :)

The only thing needed to worry about in this situation i believe is your “satisfaction” in this role …. especially considering the IGNORANT CURRICULAR PRESSURE imposed on teachers in situations as yours. You are not teaching science or math for god’s sake!

Your contract is almost over …. and i believe you did awsome… given the unique experience these kids had with you. That’s what counts the most.

Finally not liking it is not a problem. Most of the time one knows what he likes by trying what he doesn’t like, I always say.

“I have PC is very quikly. The technology is very good because we can play video games, I listen music” Little Baby ! :) :) :) :) He tried !
Still smiling to the screen !

my head's about to explode with ideas and yet... it proves difficult to blog it (?)

Although the language is not as fancy as before … and ideas sound more direct …and more real …I like that … i still need to read it more to know what YOU want to say. I miss you.
